The Rhone rises in the Swiss Alps en flows through Lake Geneva. On French territory the river passes the city of Lyon and the wine region Côte du Rhône. After meeting the famous bridge of Avignon the Rhone ends via the Camargue in the Mediterranean Sea.

The Seine
has its source at Source-Seine on the Langres plateau near Dijon. Via Châtillon-sur-Seine, Troyes and Melun the river flows into Paris. After its course through the capital of France the Seine passes Fontainebleau, Versailles and Rouen. After 776 km the rivers ends into the English Channel at Le Havre.

The Loire is characterized by beautiful and diverse nature, vineyards, apple trees, sunflower fields and silent little villages. The regio is ideal for multi-day cycling trips. A special bicycle route, La Loire à Velo, follows the course of the river.
